| Occasionally I have puppies to place in qualified
companion-pet homes.
All of my puppies are registered with the AKC (American Kennel Club)
and are socialized to people, noise, other dogs, and usually to
car rides. They are born in my bedroom and grow up in my kitchen.
Puppies, when available, are sold at 8 to 12 weeks, are crate
trained, and are house broken to my home. They are wormed and have all
appropriate shots for their age. They go home with a 5-generation
pedigree so you know their lineage. Parents are screened for
genetic health problems and puppies are guaranteed against
genetic health defects.
My desire is to produce quality, healthy, outgoing puppies that are as close to the Miniature Schnauzer Standard as is possible. My goal is that each new litter will produce puppies that are even better than their parents. Parents are screened for genetic health defects, as is possible, in an attempt to provide not only beautiful puppies, but healthy, happy puppies that will be a joy to their owners and live a long life, free of genetic disease. White schnauzers cannot be shown in AKC competition in the United States and I do not breed them. Parti-colors and toy schnauzers are not recognized by the AKC Standard and I do not breed them either. Backyard breeders offer toys, teacups and parti colors, as well as other colors such as liver and chocolate, none of which are recognized by the Standard. They imply these puppies are rare and they usually command high prices for them. Please don't be fooled! They are not rare and it is questionable if they are even pure bred Miniature Schnauzers. Reputable breeders breed to the AKC Standard and do not breed whites, parti-colors, toys, teacups, or any other combination of colors. The only accepted colors are black, salt & pepper and black & silver. Recently a lady called me asking if I had one of the "RARE" Hershey Chocolate Miniature Schnauzers. There is no such thing as a pure-bred Hershey Chocolate Miniature Schnauzer and reputable breeders do not breed them. Quality Miniature Schnauzers are recognized as Miniature Schnauzers today only because reputable breeders have continued to use the AKC Standard as a blueprint for what a Miniature Schnauzer should be and should look like. Please take the time to find a reputable breeder before purchasing any Miniature Schnauzer puppy.![]() A View at Journey Miniature Schnauzers A new litter of Journey puppies was born October 2009.
